Application Accepted

Well we heard back from Children's Hope International and our application has officially been accepted. We are very very happy! We have started the paper chase and are currently working on the following:

• CIS application - this is an application to the federal government that allows us to bring an adopted child to the US.
• Homestudy - this is being done in conjunction with a social worker from our agency and basically is an in depth analysis of our family to make sure we will be good parents
• Dossier - this is all the various documents that Kazakhstan officials will need to see.

So, lots of paperwork but if you stay organized and take it one thing at a time but keep on moving forward it should not be too bad.

We have also started making a list of all the big ticket items that we need to purchase; baby furniture, camcorder, new digital camera, car seats, strollers, etc. It is very exciting.
