Thanksgiving

Nothing new to report. We had a great Thanksgiving with my mom and step dad. Very low key. It was overcast here and we spent time together eating food and watching some good movies.

The waiting is hard right now and there is so much information on other famlies blogs. You look at one blog and their timeline was really fast and then you look at another timeline on a different blog and their timeline was longer. So it is hard to figure it all out but it seems that experience differs from family to family and from agency to agency. I will be excited if we are home this time next year. I hope it goes faster then that but if it happens within the next 12 months I will still be happy. Families adopting from China are averaging 24-36 months and the wait is growing as the Kazakhstan program grows.

As we were eating Thanksgiving dinner I wondered if this time next year we would be home with Baby Baker. I sure hope so.

Hi Bakers,
I know what you mean about the confusing timelines as you read others blogs--it is addicting to read others stories and hard not to compare them. I keep reminding myself that we each have our own journey in our own time and it all works out to be just right. Hang in there--I am waiting also.

Yes, this is not an easy process, and timelines are all over the place. The important thing is that you ahve started your journey and you will get there. Just getting the dossier completed is a big job!
