There is not much to report except that we are now revising our timeline and hope to travel late summer to early fall of 08. Our agency has experienced an increase in the number of families who are adopting from Kazakhstan and this means that Kazakhstan has an increased number of families who are wanting to adopt. What this means is that there are some growing pains. Our agency is working hard to bring the program up to speed but they are pushed with their staff only able to process so much paperwork at one time. One the other side of that is the Kazakhstan government having to try to keep up as well. So we are still excited and we feel confident about being with Children's Hope International.
So we are extending our timeline to the late summer or early fall and we hope to be home this time next year with Baby Baker.

Hi Steph and Dusty - My name is Jennifer. I am also adopting from Kaz. My dossier was translated and sent on Oct 31st also. Maybe we will be traveling at the same time. I bought the Rosetta Stone language disk and I'm trying to learn some Russian but my brain does not like it. I've switched to Spanish right now because that's where I'll be for Xmas and it's much easier!!! Let me know if you have found any good site for Kaz. I'm now starting to let myself believe this is actually happening. Jennifer

Summer is a great time to be there. You don't have to worry about the freezing cold when you are walking around carrying all that water. :) Stick with it, it'll happen.
